If anyone knows how to modify a Tippmann 98 Custom post it here. We don't want to hear about flatline barrel and E-grip and all that, just homemade mods that are easy to do. I modified my trigger by replacing the spring with a spring from a mechanical pencil. :D They were the same size so now my trigger has really easy pull but still pops back up into my finger after I pull.
And does anyone think you could gives the balls backspin by putting electrical tape or something in the end?

Paintballs are already spinning when they go down the barrel with most barrels because the porting is in a spiraling fashion causing it to exhaust in a special way that makes the ball spin at a certain rate...

I made a trigger and trigger gaurd out of wood for my gun, but it broke....

I'm going to make homeade grips though... it's going to be Ghetto :D

I'll be adding a hop-up soon, seeing as it worked so well with my PB rifle.

paintballs are not meant to spin such as a bullet is while they are in flight, they are meant to spin forwards in such a way that it gives the ball more forward energy, it cannot spin sideways because it has a shifting center of gravity due to its liquid core. There is not really that much you can do unfortunately to a 98 custom due to the fact that is is already, the simplist you can get almost as far as paintball guns go. The spring mod is the most common, other than that theres none i know of that you can do by yourself with things in your home. Try www.pbnation.com , you will find every single mod that ever existed.

Well you dont want the paintball to spin forward... As a tennis player, I know that type is spin is called topspin, and it will cause the rotating object to dive downwards.

Now, when the paintball is spinning backwards, this generates backspin, which will achieve greater distances, for it will "sit up" more

And noname, can you really do what your sig says??

I guess you could do the paperclip mod or ... polish the internals.

What's the paperclip mod? Leaving people hanging isn't nice. :x

I have no clue what he's talking about, and polishing the internals of Tippmanns has been proven at my field with the rentals and my guns not to do much if anything to help the gun, but we take care of our guns so I guess we wouldn't need to polish the internals... Just lube the gun right and you won't have to...

And I know of no paperclip mod for a Tippmann... But I assume if there is one it probably has to do with the trigger....

That's what I meant about leaving us hanging. He tells us half of something and dissappears.

paper clip mod is where instead of the bolt cocking again it kinda just bounces back and forth shooting every time..(sometimes turnes it into a blender tho)

search/ask around pbnation for it/ other mods.

Ok, so the paperclip mod just makes the gun a shitty full auto, I did that by making a special sear that doesn't catch it you keep holding in the trigger, but when you let go it catches, so it's basically a full auto, but it's a total pain in the ass to make a sear setup like that, so no one ask me for a how-to :D

I don't blend that much paint with my Halo, but with a gravity feed it really defines bleding....
