http://www.alibre.com/xpress/ is completely free
solidworks torrents work great too, and is way better, but u need good problem solving skills to get it installed properly
rhino3d full versions will not work without a hardware key, dont even bother.
its very very hard to find 3dmax
blender is a open source 3d thingy but i find it very very very confusing

free 10 mb download from good servers at povray.com
steep learning curve, though.

about htat rhino3d... if you download the trail can you put in a serial number to use it past 30 days, or do you need to redownload the full version.
which one of these programs would be best for a 3d imaging beginner, i know how to use computers (i built my own and constantly fix my niegbors computer) but i have no experience in 3d imaging.

i just finished downloading solidworks (it took two hole days!!!) i have already figured out you have to burn the files to cds. is it really that simple just burn the files to the disc, or do you need to create some sort of auto start thing. i know i missing something, im just not quite sure what it is though...

irwinner, i had the same problem.
you really dont need to burn the cds, just extract all of the 4 compressed files into 4 folders, run the set up found in the first folder, and when it is missing a file, find that file in the second third and forth folder, and move them into the folder in the first one that is missing the files.
edrawings works great, but it doesnt come with smart fasteners

okay i think i understand now, the daa files can be unzipeed by winrar (i should have know that its the exact same as psp isos just a different extention). then you copy the files disc two and three to disc one, but do you delete them from disc two and three after they have been copied? do i have to use the poweriso to run the setup? what is office premium for?

.daa is extracted into those folders, copy files from folder to folder, then you find the install .exe in the first folder
after the extraction from the .daa into folders, you dont need poweriso again
you can delete those if u want, i like keeping them to help people just in case this comes up
