I was watching Jeepers Creepers 2 today and was looking at the Harppon Gun the old guy used to kill/injure the jeepers creepers guy. It looked like it was a twin chamber pneumatic harpoon gun and when he shot it some water vapours shot out as well it kind of looked like Joels mega cannon II. Does anyone have any info on this gun it would be awsome to make 8)

thats simple just make like this: two, 2 inch chambers, 2 to 1 inch reducer, 1 inch modded sprinkler valve and a 1 inch barrel. make it setup like joels mega launcher cept smaller and make a ghetto harpoon with 3/4 cpvc pipe, spearfishing tip on the end of the pipe, rope (for reshooting, duh) and wrap the harpoon with tape for a tighter fit.

anywayz im outies man cya

i didn't mean replicate joels gun i meant to build the one on jeepers creepers it might be different to joels but if its the same i wouldnbt build it.
Like the one on JC2 i doubt is the same concept thing as joels.

well build it out of metal or make it a piston gun

from what i can remember it is made out of steele and it is on a 40 gallon drum, that would most likely be the pressure chamber. and it swivels aswell.

NO! no ball valve please use piston.

Using a ball valve in high pressure would be a bitch to open. Think about all the pressure stopping you from opening it fast and not many ball valves are rated very high, and if they are they cost too much. A piston would be the best as it can go hold more pressure then a solenoid valve, which is like 145psi where you could make a piston around 220psi if your good enough.

Um, does'nt a ball valve open with same resistance no matter how high the pressure is? The pressure pushes from the side, you're just rotating it.

Anyways, any ball valve over 1" or so is really hard to open and they are really bulky and ugly.

Try building one of these, except with a harpoon tip.

i saw that a few nights ago lol its actually a pretty good movie

the guy had 2 scuba tanks on either side of a steel chamber and some sort of butterfly valve for releasing the pressure
have fun
