Actuall Burst Pressure

Has anyone ever tested PVC pipe to find the average bursting pressure? Or is there other info on the net, if so please tell me.
I have seen a chart for the theoretical burst pressure but I have not seen one where they have physically tested it.
The reason I’m asking is because I need pipe most likely 1" PVC to hold high pressures than what its rated to, possibly just under a few hundred PSI under its bursting pressure. I want to be able to use PVC because its lighter than anything else I could use, I was going to use carbon fiber tubing or something ( I can’t remember what it was called ) but PVC is a much simpler and cost effective alternative.
Info will be appreciated.
