i managed to get 12 seconds of hang time with my basic pneumatic. i've heard that its possible to get hang times that last sometimes over a whole minute. have any of you had a hang time longer than a minute in the past with any of your cannons? or possibly much longer than that even? i just want to see who has had the longest hang time.

I'd havew to say about 12 seconds would be about the hangtime of my cannon aswell i will test it later. But i have heard of GF cannons getting hangtimes of 30+seconds.

once I thought i got over 10 mins of hang time. The golfball I shot never came down. What actually happened is the golfball shot so fast and innacuratley, I didnt see it come down on the beach about a quarter of a kilometre away from my house. I found the golf ball too! It was Imbedded about 4 inches into wet sand.

haha yea. Well it wasnt my gun anyway, If it was I would have made it a MUCH longer barrel. It was soo short that if i was aiming at something 20 feet away I would miss it

Anyway it was sorta a coinidence that i found the golf ball the next day. It used to be a parachoote ball that I would launch out of my mini mortar. One of the nails that was used to tie the strings from the parachoote was still on the ball, so I used my old metal detector. Took like an hour to find but i was bored anyway soo yea...

I got 36 seconds of hang time pretty easy. once I got close to a minute, 50 something seconds of hang time. at over 80 psi (the pressure I used to get 50somthing seconds of hang time) I am almost sure I could get a minute

Oh my god! That's Mach 8.5! What kind of launcher do you have that can give initial velocities of 6600 mph?!

Well I did this a few times with my marble cannon. I thought I was firing straight up but assumed that the wind moved it or something. I quit after I heard a bang on the factory roof next door a while after I shot. They were oviously going up but coming down on my nieghbours houses.

Hahah mach 8.5(pulling numbers again?)i heard the fastest railgun made shoots a 5kg projectile a mach 9 so u got yourself quite a launcher there and yeh my cannons are only about...mach7.8 off that speed..

Actually, no, I did not pull those number out of my ass. I actually rarely do. Mach 8.5 is the minimum speed you would need for a 10 minute hangtime.
