Hey, since this is my first post on spudfiles, i figured i'd save it for something good. This is my scuba tank driven cannon that shoots paintballs. It runs off a scuba tank (sorry for redundancy) @3000 psi. I use the low pressure port on the scuba tank regulator (about 150 psi) hooked up to another regulator that i usually dial to about 50 psi to fill my chamber It also uses a piston valve actuated by a modded sprinkler valve.
Volume of Chamber: 40.82 cu in.
Volume of Barrel: 15.9 cu in.
B:C ratio= 2.567:1
(numbers are rounded)

Pix of Cannon, i'm new and i don't know how to upload them to the forums

very nice. i like the piston it has a bumper right on it. and that scuba tank is kind of small for a scuba tank lol.

the scuba tank is a pony bottle, not used for actual diving, i've mostly used that one for air-brushing

thats very nice. not many people have a tank right on the cannon. how many shots can you get out of it?

you did a really good job on it.

If you paint it all, it will look less strange, i actually dont have a problem with the copper though.
Nice cannon
really good quote/phrase here

the copper is actually for a later attachment for a different size scuba tank (even smaller) called a micra, i'm pretty sure it still holds 3000 psi and it's small enough to just adapt a new stock that holds the tank. That is where the copper idea came from, more stability and strength
p.s. i know i'm not very good at sweating

Edit: about the number of shots, i haven't been able to drain the entire tank yet :D so i'm not sure

Thats pretty tight man. Well yah the stock doesn't fit in but the gun is great. One question, why did you go out and build a piston valve for a tank chamber that small? Is it just to build something totally kick ass or to know that your awesome because you did it. On a chamber of that size just the sprinkler valve would lead to great performance.

Its a paintball barrel, probably 3/4" pvc as that is the most popular. Thin wall 1/2" works too.

ya, barrel is 3/4" pvc, i think i tried 1/2" cpvc but the paintballs fit too tightly and i try to upgrade on every new gun i make so the piston valve was a natural upgrade from my old gun

Sweet, saving money and hours of work is always a good thing. I used to recycle but now I find building new stuff is very rewarding because then in the end I have like four working guns and I just have to go w00t. :D

I wanna see a few more damage pics, and maybe some of whatever is in that bowl in the fifth picture.

Nice gun, but I would think that the copper and white combination would be a little non aesthetic. Painting it would change that

hey guys, thanks for all the great comments, i'm suprised to see such a great outcome on my first post, and about the lack of damage pics, i have only gotten a chance to shoot for about an hour so far, life has been more important for the past few days, this weekend I should be able to upload more damage shots. Regarding the painting, my guns change so fast and as i mentioned the copper is going to serve a specific purpose later so painting isn't likely to happen unless this gun's performance is so amazing that it's worth keeping the gun intact
