Seen this interesting vid on YouTube, might just give this a shot to see how well works. Anyone else made a setup like this before?

I know, the vid is in french, but lucky for me it happens to be my first language. I might even translate the vid and put it up myself, linking to the original to give credit where it's due, of course.

Thanks for the info. I'm still building my first pneumatic, so I'm still new in that respect. Still, it should work better than a sprinkler valve, and cheaper too. I picked up a RainBird for about $40 Canadian, but I think I could put this together for less than $20.

Even in the expensive country of New Zealand I could afford this for around $20 $30. Please do translate :d It would be much appreiated. Either that or you may be bale to draw a diagram?

first of all, technically a qev valve is a piston valve.....

secondly in most countries the price of fittings needed to build a 'homemade qev' is almost the same as a QEV itself

What and the holy hell? That's one hell of a piston valve...I can't get my head around on what the hell he used for a piston though...Looks like a hose barb...what does everyone else think?

I'm sure with a parts list I could put that thing together. Email the dude/find the forum?

EDIT: I checked out some other of his videos, and by watching the 1in "QEV" video its obvious that its just a verry nicely made all metal barrel sealer. In the 1in he used all easy to figure out fittings, except his sealing face.

yeah pizlo but there is one problem - the person who built it lives in france so it is quite possible that he used fittings that are available only in europe or france.... belive me I've tried builing the same valve myself but it turned out that without the parts that he had its easier to buy a QEV

It's just a copy of the "Slamma valve"!!! All the way in France! (jk)

Looks like the piston is a standard fitting (un-modified).
And the sealing face is the rubber washer it presses against (rather than being attached to the piston).

I've had a similar idea before.
Nice, simple parts he's made it(a piston valve) out of. 8)

EDIT: No,Ooops, just watched the video again. I was confused about the piston.
Still something simple.
Also noticed, at the end he says "very simple" Speaks some english?
E-mail the guy (Spike).

@neeewwww I am sure that there is at least several places where you can buy QEVs in brazil... believe me its only a matter of finding it I had the same problem with finding them in poland...

first of all it would be a good idea to find out what a qev valve is called in spanish (or portuguese?? - sorry I always have problems with remebering what language is spoken in Brazil) and then use google to find it
