Check this pic out. I'm sure you've seen a configuration like this before. I don't know how much time and "playing with" you want to put into this, but here might be a solution to your trigger/sear problem. In the Tippmann 98 Custom, when the bolt is pulled back, it pushes the sear onto a trigger platform (we'll just call it that for now). When the trigger is pulled, the platform is pushed up pushing the sear down and releasing the hammer. As I said, if you have the time/patience for this, it seems to be a descent solution, and you won't need as strong of a trigger spring.

Don't pay attention to the silver barrel thing. That's a custom part for the gun.

It still fires a 6mm saboted BB around 50 foot.
50 foot isn't much at all. You should go back to the old, more powerful spring and fiddle with it until you get it working.

I've thought of a few things that may get the gun working. I need to wait until I get back to work so I can use the lathe.

I know that 50 feet isnt alot, but that distance is considering that the rubber bands only provide 1/4 the power of the spring, And at the moment whilst im not working and dont have access to a lathe, It'll have to do. Im sure once I get on the lathe and do what I was going to do, I know it will work and hopefully fire a BB 300 foot, That's my aim, so we'll see how things go.

I may have to look at a 2 stage trigger with a retaining pin so the catch face locks onto the sear. I will look into that when all my other plans fail.

Cheers
