So in our free time my mom's boyfriend and I built this cannon. We did a lot of research to find the best way to fire the air out of the cannon, so that we could get the best results. And we found a lot of cannons that used the modified sprinkler valve and some others used the piston seal off method. And we chose to use the piston for it just because we had some of the parts all ready to do that instead of buying a sprinkler valve. Just to let you guys know this was our first cannon, right now we are on our way to making the 2.0 version which will include the piston seal off and the sprinkler valve to trigger the piston. But I just decided to upload some pics of our first one. The pain was just me seeing how the black would look.

Today I was shooting at my usual target which is fence stakes, but I had a loose grip on the gun and then when I shot it, the gun went up from the kick and shot a tomato through my garage......

That first picture looks like you have some skill. I think the rest of the pictures will say so as well. This is your first pneumatic correct?

I must say, beautiful job with this cannon. An EXCELLENT first cannon. What did you use as a piston and what is the bumper?

Ok well the psi I use is about 90... And I'm not sure about all those stats mattyzip77 sorry. And for the piston its a plastic piece with 2 O-rings to seal it and the bumper is just leftover rubber tubing. :D

An emo launcher, brilliant :D

But seriously, extremely good job for a first effort, and nice to see you've managed to find decent help.

You've also learned a valuable lesson in handling any projectile launcher - ALWAYS check your backstop and NEVER point your launcher at anything you don't intend to destroy. Don't worry though, garage doors can be fixed and this sort of thing happens to the best of us ;)
