I've updated the design only a little, but what do you think.
Constructive criticism and ideas welcome
Oh and I'm new to pneumatics, go easy on me
What do you think on updated design?

I don't really understand what the knob is on the 35 cm length?
Also, I don't know how heavy that tank is, but there's gonna be a lot of torque on that stock there if it's any significant weight.
If you have time / resources, you always could install a detent (if that wasn't already your plan), or make it semi auto (not too hard with an air cylinder)
Seems like a pretty solid design . Good luck!

Oh I see.
Get ready for some serious pumping to fill that enormous tank... what pressure do you plan to go to?

Ahaha xD
I know, I'll probably be probably be pumping it up to around 150 psi on average using a bike pump If I'm impressed with the gun, and all is well, I'll probably invest in an electric tire pump, you can get some pretty heavy duty ones

I would.get the barrel as close to the chamber as possible. The big 90 degree bend looks gayish........

I'm not sure what you're talking about. The only bends in the pipe are the main supply for the small chamber that's attached to the QEV. The 90 degree elbows are hurting the performance. Unless, of course, you're talking aesthetics. That's not really a factor in a good working gun.mattyzip77 wrote:I would.get the barrel as close to the chamber as possible. Sarcasm is the body's natural defense against stupid.

The bends don't matter.

Like PaperNinja said, the 90 elbows doesn't matter.
And I argee with mattyzip77, you should do some more designing work on the aesthetics. There are many good designs in the Pneumatic cannon showcase, go look for some ideas there.
But if thinking only performance, thats looking good !

... because in this case, the bends are in the air flow to refill the chamber after firing, not the actual path the air which is propelling the projectile is taking.

the piece that is 14 cm, shrink it down, along with the piece located directly under the qev, for aesthetic purposes. Aesthetics are not a factor in a working gun, true. However, also not a factor in women, although I would rather a short petite woman over a big fat nasty slob. Get my point????
