Ok well I guess I found this site by accident. I was searching for Nerf Paintball Launchers and I came upon this site started snooping around and thought this might be the place to get some answers, so that's what I am going to do ask some questions and hopefully get some answers. So here we go.

As I said I was looking for Nerf Launchers for paintball (for those of you who don't know they are used to take out tanks or a cluster of people in Scenario Games). I have friends that have made them with simple ball valves and copper pipe, and of course PVC pipe and thats all well and good but I am looking for something more.

To be more specific I am looking for an ELECTRONIC FIRING SYSTEM or some form of a TRIGGER SYSTEM. Only there is a catch I am doing a mock up of a GM-94 Gernade gun and I am trying to enclose as much of the workings as possible. So I was wondering if anyone here has any ideas on how I should go about this. Any Valves that work really well. Things people have tried. Anything would help. A push in the right direction. Oh and I forgot it needs to Be Pretty SMALL ( under 3' total length).

Thanks for all the soon to be offers of ideas and mockings.

Welcome to the forums =)

The best way to come about making this (IMO) would be to make it a co-axle gun. You would need to make it muzzle loading rather than breech. You could also fire it electronically, by venting the pilot with an unmodde4d sprinkler valve.

I will try to get a picture coughed up for you later on today, but i have work soon so I can't get drawing now.

Ok...I got the drawing done after work Smile

Hope it helps. it shoudl all be obviouse what every thing is. But encase it isn't I'll tell you what's what.

Blue: Air chamber
white: barrel
brown/black: piston
green: sprinkler valve (modded)
black/orange: scharder valve
grey: blow gun
orange: nipple

that shoudl be ablout all you need to know. To make it look like your pictured gun, you'd have to house it in a wooded stock.

I'd go with an over-under, maybe using a QEV (mcmaster has fairly large ones for fair prices) as the valve.

...which might not acctualy work.
What velocity, bore diameter... does this thing have?

yeah why dont you just make an over-under like the nade gun he posted and make a stock thats either part of the chmaber or not part of it using a tee instead of a 90* elbow
