edit 4/08/08: now it works on 250psi and has a gluegun piston
shoots nice
damage pics soon!!!
This is my assault gun I just finished.
She works currently on 200psi (the pump can only handle so much, will make my own soon) and can work on only 10psi. The piston is made out of a broom handle (wood).
To keep the barrel flush in the middle I used a pvc sch40 pipe and sawed a gap out heated it up with boiling water and stuffed it in between the 2 pipes to keep it centre, worked like a charm!!!!

yer mate, put a vid up
looks pretty sweet, would look especially nice with a stock + it would be better for accuracy.

Nice drawing there...and nice rifle as well! Looks like you've got a little extra pilot dead space there...might get on the nerves of a few pneumatic brainiacs that drift through...
Any performance pics/vids?

Great gun. I bet you could put 400 PSI in there no problem, so get going on that pump. Is this your first gun? I don't remember anything else from you.

O no its my second Pneumatic, and first piston, here is the other:

It's that length (not Dia) of pipe behind your piston that is your extra space. If you're happy with performance, then it should be fine. Lessening that space will offer you some percentage points more performance...possibly not very noticable in the real world however.

Well actually in some cases having pilot volume can actually increase preformance according to GGDT and Jsr.

Yes it’s a coaxial with a over-under

Technically it isnt an assault gun unless it uses intermediate rounds and has variable fire, but great job though.

Looks good, but,
-why not make it completely co-ax?
-If its exactly like in your diagram, then the blue piece of pvc that centers the barrel may be blocking flow too much.
For the rest, its a nice cannon, good luck with your pump.

the power then and now with the pvc in has the same power or it seems that way I just need some better ammo because im shooting small bolts now and they just dont have the weight of what lead must be and the marbles I found did not fit the barrel

Sorry, ignore my comment about dead space...my brain was in dead space earlier today... I thought I saw your piston being in the tee in the middle...it's obviously in the rear coupler. Your dead space is fine.
Actually, a pretty nifty rifle you've got there. Again nice job.
