I'll take a better look after some washing up (groan) but that looks nice.

I'm also in the mood to be cynical about the wall they show being blasted consisting of unmortared but stacked breezeblocks. Exactly what your average mortared spaced brick wall is made of... I don't think.

Still, at that kind of bore it should be packing serious force. The range number they threw in is a joke for a MOE, I mean exactly what would you be trying to hit at 150m with that to get in...

Something of interest though :)

Oh yeah baby, that thing rocks the house man, literally. I like how the frame is also designed to be a sled absorbing the recoil. I'm not sure I would want to be the guy in that truck when it's fired from the truck bed though.

Nice find Spud King!

They really would have looked more professional if they didnt get the work experience kid to voice over the video.

Looks cool though....

I was just about to say it sounded like an overexcited (at certain points) teenager doing the voice over. What sounded like a 007 theme tune was also playing in the background...

This is a great product and I guess everyone here who reads this will think "why didn't I think of that!" Would sound much better with a professional voice-over though, and for todays average dumbass mybe could use atmospheres instead of PSI, unless they're aiming to blind with science in which case - Good Show!

Impressive.

Interesting to see something new on the theory of shotgun breaching rounds - you know, the ones made of packed powder, so they'll tear a lock apart, but then disintegrate harmlessly.
That piece of kit does the same thing really. Hit a wall with a water cooler with huge momentum, but then have it break apart harmlessly.

Different to what depleted uranium rounds do of course. That's hit something, then break into horribly fast, dense and pointy shards.

EDIT:

This doesn't.

I swear this picture looks like it was from a game:

Anyway, although I suspect the clip was done by their own people and possibly filmed by the chap two years older than me who owns Banjo Productions where theres another clip (which didn't want to play til I got the latest quicktime...): here

...I can't find any useful pictures of the cannon :?

Just this one:

It is - couldn't tell you which one, but it sorta has the look of a WW2 type game in appearance.

And that lower third is the standard preset Lower third text in Final Cut Pro.

It shows they are using decent professional editing software, but it also shows they dont know how to use it properly :-D

Ok so this thing weighs 159kg, you need water bottles and diver tanks to fill it up... would it not just be easier to use a battering ram rather than cart thing around...

Perhaps, but it wouldn't be half as quick.

Battering rams take AGES, are only really any good on doors, alert everyone, and leave you open to attack... with the cannon, you can have it loaded on the back of a pick up, reverse in, fire, you're done - instant hole, and a lot of very disoriented and unprepared people on the other side.
