Coax With Recoil System

This is my old Coax, but has an upgrade, the flag. It looks better with the flag IMO. The recoil system is a stand I made from an old Rock Tumbler Casing, And some PVC. I shoot it, and the rubber band pulls the gun back forward. I got the influence from Insomaiacs(I think) Lego artillery gun. I would of painted the recoil system black or OD, but I ran out of OD when I was touching up my Coax. And I didnt have the time to go out and get black, as I need it for tommorow. I am going out to Floyd Lamb State Park to do some shooting.

Looks very nice! Glad to see my K'nex gun at least influenced somone lol.
How well does it work, considering that you have to actually hold the firing valve? My artillrey gun was fired via wires, so that didn't really effect the recoil absorber, but it would seem to me that your hand would absorb some of the recoil as well. Any chance of a vid in action?

When I fire it, My hand is on the trigger, but I let go of the gun and it moves itself forward. I will Get some videos(hopefully) of it tommorow.

Looking good! Nice paint job.
The swim cap sealing face is a first as far as I know. Good, creative thinking.
Awaiting the damage pics.
Don't forget the obligatory "foot" shot.(Joke)
Edit: No foot damage shots please.

Sorry guys, I went but only got to shoot it once, then my fu*king pump broke. The check valves rubber gasket popped, and i was pissed, 5 hours and only got out 1 shot. But I will get a new pump today or tommorow.

how well does it actually work? does the base move much when firing?

Nope, it doesnt move at all, When I fire it, I remove the bottom of the base(where the motor used to be), then I fill it up with 4 inch sandbags so it doesnt move when firing. And I will be going to the park again in a few minutes, but Will Not be bringing my camera.

you should really get a remote pilot (on a hose) so that you can really see the recoil system go.
Any chance of vids?
BTW, the flag is sick....

blind, could you stop double-posting in your desperate need of replies?
I know the posts are hours apart, but repetitively asking people to reply could have the following results:
1- People will NOT reply to your thread because they find it annoying that you keep asking for replies. Its up to them to reply or not, and asking for it is not the way to get replies.
2- People will reply to your thread just because they want to please you, and that results in unnecessary, non-informative, garbage posts. (no offense to the people who DID reply in this thread, nothing wrong with your posts)

Thanks guys, and VH, I am thinking of getting a blowgun and attaching it to the QC with a hose so I can do remote firing, or firing with the handle. And psycix, I realy do not care about your opinion on what i did.

The recoil system is no longer a recoil system. It was pretty much useless, and so instead, I removed the rubber band, and just epoxied the stand to the gun.
