Yea i actually took 2 socks and wodded them up and stuffed them inside of the adapter so it wasnt attached to the piston.
I dont know if the socks are a good choise but it seems to work so far.
Im about to take a trip to lowes so i will pick up another end cap and if it is too long i can always cut it to length and still insert the pipe.

Ummm, you're venting your pilot through socks?
Is there a clear air path through the socks?
This is the kind of thing I'm talking about when I say we need a complete, accurate, and current description.

Im sorry Gippeto. I do not mean to waste your time or leave out details.
There is no clear path through the socks but air will go through them. I blew through one end and it came out the other. Im assuming your going to suggest i remove the socks. So what would be a better choice and how would i get it in there?

Thank you for all your help but i have finnaly got this thing working with great results. Heres a list of the things i have done since my last post.
-Removed sock bumper
-Added a proper bumper made from a pill bottle with some foam rubber ontop with a hole cut in the middle of both
-Got the sprinkler valve to work as pilot ( the flow was restricted before because of the socks)
-Extended piston to occupy the excess pilot room
-Filled in the hollow part on the backside of the piston
Im happy to see my first full sized piston gun operation with such amazing performance.
Once again, thank you Gipetto for your help and im sorry if i frustrated you.
I will be putting my cannon in the showcase as soon as i get my camera back.
