Yes it did. Not only did they go through the coins, they embedded themselves an inch into the palm tree.

Very cool results. I find mine to be very similar with a combustion design.

Judging from your pictures you have the same problem I have which is those pin darts are crappy. They bend and no matter how powerful your gun is they won't go in much further than what your pictures are showing. Just not enough weight or strength to keep such a thin dart from bending.

You should try a few things that I can vouch for, use the short spike darts you see in my post as they are much more powerful and depending on how powerful your gun is they can be recovered out of wood and reused (assuming both that you can find the plastic tip after you shoot it and the dart doesn't go further in than you can grab!)

Also have you considered using larger bore darts? They are much more powerful and put any pin dart to shame. I have made many many improvements to the gun in my link and I can say without hesitation that small darts are just the beginning.

It's actually quite simple, The blowgun fits inside of standard 1/2" PVC (which has an interior diameter closer to .6" or more) and then all you need to do is wrap electrical tape around the blowgun to make it's diameter about the same as the inside of the PVC, then you just use epoxy or something similar to lock it into place as well as make it air tight. No adapters or extra pieces required.

But when you will be forced to awkwardly muzzle-load darts.
I got the required fittings at home depot and ace hardware.

No you don't need to muzzle load you have plenty of options. Friction fit breech load, if done properly, is a great way of making sure you don't have to spend five minutes unscrewing/screwing back on your nozzle.

Also these revolvers are super cheap and relatively easy to integrate. The problem is if your gun is capable of putting a nail dart all the way into a 2" thick piece of wood, these things just can't handle that kind of force for the most part.

If you balance the PSI then this design is pretty sound, leaks air like hell, but that's the price you pay for being able to rapid fire 8 darts. There's a lot you can do with these things as blowdart accessories are pretty pervasive. Have you seen the little paintball setup you can buy for .40 caliber?
