Hey...made this for my nephew just for fun...thought some of you guys would like to check this out.....has a laser and red dot sight ,as well as a flashlight attached to small pieces of picatinny rail stock.Shoots homemade PB grenades about 150 ft at 90 psi .....the grenades ride in the tp tube "sabots" ...the sabot drops away about 10 feet from the gun......The gun uses an unmodded sprinkler valve actuated by 3 -9 volt batteries in the pod with the switches.

I like it. Have you considered the buildoff I recently posted about? Check it out.

Cool cannon, it's nice to see something different in a sprinkler valve cannon. Nice work, and welcome to spudfiles.

Great cannon! I love the paint job. The gun looks great and I can tell that you pay attention to detail. You would get better performance if you pneumatically modified the valve.

Great project! Beautiful lines in the design...construction, paint job and detail gadgets are superb!

The tank on this is small enough that you could outfit a reg'd CO2 system on it and leave that 5 shot air tank in the garage...

Really nice work!!

If he could manage to place a blowgun into that grip of his, modifying the valve (while keeping the grip) would be possible. Of course, he would need another form of a safety devise (which is pretty simple).

The only advantage I can see that would come from modifying the valve would be more shots off the tank. Allow me to explain:

This being used for paintball, it should be set at or below the standard velocity. By modifying the valve, thus making opening times faster, he can achieve the same velocity on a lesser PSI.

Honestly, though, I don't think modifying this valve would be necessary. It would eliminate the electronics, but he may have to change the configuration to do so. It is something for him to think about (if his nephew will let him  ).

how comfortable is it to hold?

Can i get some pics that show one of you guys holding it?

Overall it looks good. I'm always a fan when people paint their cannons because a lot of people just like to skimp out on the presentation aspect.

Very nice build indeed. Good job on the paint. The only thing that worries me are those pictures of it in the snow, you and your nephew know not to use it in cold, right? (no one like pvc shrapnel)

Yea get out of the snow now, cold temperatures weaken pvc. If you decide to mod the valve look no furtherhttp://www.spudfiles.com/forums/modding ... -t305.html

Hello, I'm pretty much new here. I joined looking to see more rpg/rocket launcher style cannons. Somehow though, I search "rpg" or "rocket launcher" and nothing like this comes up....lol, could have something to do with me being at my dads house and he has always had issues with cookies and cache etc....The way I found this is I googled rpg, and by luck, it was a spudfiles page. Now that I am finished with little fit of rage, this thing is just straight up sexy. I need to get the money and make one similar. Might I ask, (because its not really visible in the pictures) how are you getting 5 shots out the tank? Do you have a ball valve between 2 tanks or what? Like I said, not quite visible to me.
