I'm an IDIOT!!!!

Ok, I have to say I'm not a paintball guy, so everything I know comes from here or the paintball store(paintball central)...

Well anyway, my co2 fill set-up is a tank adapter to empire regulator to slidecheck/quick connect....

When I bought the regulator I asked the guys at PBcentral what it was set at and they responded 850psi, and I asked how to adjust it and the responded that it was setup for hpa to co2 pressure and that I should just back out the screw slightly to get full unregged co2 pressure, and I was like "ok cool"... 8)

Long story short, I bought a 0-1500 psi gauge the other day, and I find out that all this time I thought I was shooting with unregged co2, I was actually only running about 475psi  !!!! No Wonder the camlok on the minimod was holding up so well!!! because as soon as I found this out I got online at empires website and discovered that this reg is set to regulate from up to 1300psi(on the tank side) down to between 300-850psi on the output side....

Let me tell you this, The difference between 475psi and 700psi is like frikkin nite and day  .... The decimater is now pushing 62gm steel balls at over 1100fps and they punch through the safe like its paper machete  ... And the aforementioned camlock on the mini mod.... Scattered all over the yard  ... I've ordered a stainless camlock for it now... :D

Now I've got to remember everywhere I referenced "unregged co2" and correct them... lol

well once you get a vid of this thing there will be practically no denying that it is getting well over sos with those superballs then sinces its getting nears sos with steel balls  .

:D What else is there to say but ... stuff happens, store clerks don't often know their arse from a hole in the ground, and mostly...never take anyones word for anything until you check it out yourself.

I have to agree though ... a few hundred extra psi makes a HECK of a difference.

Wonder what that would do fps wise on N2?

Any bleeding when the camlock went "bye bye"??

That's no guarantee of anything. Going near SOS with a heavy projectile doesn't mean a lighter projectile will go supersonic. It means it MAY. It does not mean it WILL.

I'm still some what sceptical of Decimator's results. My scientific nature demands it of me.
However, I am open to the possibility that they may be valid.

You mean like some kind of cardboard katana, or perhaps an origami broadsword? :D

(Come on Jack, you're supposed to comment on these things, not me!)

the door is .25", the main safe is 3/16"AR....Which is where this shot was... I'm gonna try and punch the door tonite(if there's no honeydo list like yesterday)... laying the safe on it's back and using the door as a dropdown target, the bearings get a full one inch of depth, but I haven't shot it facing forward to keep the door from dropping yet...
