RE: "semi blow gun"

I was forwarded this mod. However after purchasing a blow gun and opening it up i soon discovered that the internals where quite different...
i realised that following "iknowmy3tables" was going to be quite hard. but looking down the page i saw a different approach presented by "clide". these instructions would do the same thing however in the opposite manner. (pressurise when pressed, vent when not pressed) at this point i didn't really care which order it did it, i just wanted it done.
The thing i did differently to clide is that instead of cutting the body, i cut the pin on the inside, extending the tapered area... as you guys can see in the picture.

All other parts remain unchanged, the rubber parts where greased and the valve was reassembled.
So the supposed "three way" valve is complete and is functioning. but the flow out the top of the valve is quite minimal.. is there a way of increasing this without making the valve very inefficient?
