Ok guys I am finishing up my double barrel sprinkler cannon. I have a 4in chamber in the center and two 2in barrels on either side. I am using compressed air from a paintball tank as the air sorce. I had the air regulated from a palmer paintball reg at 200 psi then going into a 2nd air tool reg and regulated at 100 psi. After each shot the recharge time took about 5 seconds. I think it was the air tool reg that was slowing it down. The air tool reg was something similar to a ball valve with a guage and a knob. When you turned the knob it made the hole either larger or smaller depending on which way it was turned in return increasing or decreasing the pressure. It may even be the paintball reg that is causing the slow re charge rate but I dont think that is the case. Have to do some more testing. Just thought I would see if anyone had any ideas.

i dont know anything about paintball regs but, would say thats your problem becuse air tools would use up way more air than a pb gun.

How long is the 4" chamber? Depending on how big it is, 5s may be as fast as you can get. Is the air coming from a C02 tank or HPA tank? Personally, I agree with -_- about air tools using more air, but Palmer regs are pretty good, I wouldn't expect one of them to slow down your air supply any more than a standard regulator. What model is the Palmer reg?

That is NOT a pressure regulator. That is a FLOW regulator. GET THAT THING OFF YOUR GUN AND GET A **PRESSURE** REGULATOR ASAP.

Yup!

Unless you have a ball valve or similar to stop the flow combined with a guage on the chamber to verify fill pressure (which you made no mention of)...you're filling your chamber to 200psi.

If Dave was being too subtle ...... You're headed for a world of hurt if you continue to do so.

It might be a regulator... his description does suggest that it is a flow regulator but it is better idea to check first whether it is a reg or not

I dont have the exact measurements of the chamber as I am not at home at the moment but I would say it is a little over a foot. The reg is a palmers stabalizer. I already removed the "Flow regulator" and lowered the palmer reg to 80 psi as I was setting off the saftey valve at 125 psi. So that being said what should I be looking for in regaurds to a good 2nd pressure reg?
