Hey everyone
link to the gun before changes: http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/viewtop ... tml#311274
I have been working on a new semi-auto QEV rifle but in the mean time i have made a few changes to my old one. i removed the scope and decided to make some mounted iron sights as i usually use this gun from a range maxing out about 10m making a scope useless. I am fairly impressed by the results.
comments, suggestions
thanks,

So are weI am fairly impressed by the results
One thing that I don't like is the quick connect fitting... somehow I wouldn't feel safe when my eye was so close to a QC on a gun filled to 500 psi or so

I can hit a coke can with decent ammo from 10m using these sights which is good enough for meLabtecpower wrote: What accurace do you get at a distance of 10 meters?
yeh i was the same when i first built it but i have gotten used to it and i generally only use it around 200psi so it feels pretty safe now.POLAND_SPUD wrote: One thing that I don't like is the quick connect fitting... somehow I wouldn't feel safe when my eye was so close to a QC on a gun filled to 500 psi or so
I've used brass quick connect fittings at 1,000psi repeatedly no problems. The ball valves went first .POLAND_SPUD wrote:One thing that I don't like is the quick connect fitting... somehow I wouldn't feel safe when my eye was so close to a QC on a gun filled to 500 psi or so

Probably not that significant in terms of the accuracy of the launcher and the range you're shooting at, but you're better off with a small notch as opposed to a circular hole.
