Hay
This is my idea for my new airgun.(it's the 4. one i think...)

I just want to know what you think about it.

Blue: Air tank (bore 4cm 115cm long , pressure 20 Bar)
Yellow: Barrel (bore 1.4cm 100cm long)
Light red: Moveable thing in the tank.
Dark red: Valve ( trigger)
Orange : Bike valve
Brown : Magnet that holds the bullet in place. (I hope that it will work a bit like a hop up in an airsoftgun and make the bullet rotate)

When The tank is filled with air you open the dark red valve to shoot.
It shout work like a QEV.

What do YOU think of this plan?

Yeah, its called a coaxial cannon. I have never made one, but assuming that piston is sealed on the barrel, it should work. Just make sure it has a bumper. And welcome to the forums.

Yes I have seen many coaxial cannons like this, as long as it is made well then it will work beautifully.
good luck on construction! :D

Make sure there is very little space between your "moveable thing in the tank" and the walls of your "fixed thing that contains breathing stuff packed inside" ;)

LOL :D great one :D

Aside from that...
Piston needs to be extra light, almost airtight while keeping minimum friction with the chamber wall. Your idea of a magnet could be improved to act as a back-spring, if your piston contains steel, it could allow you to fill the chamber from somewhere else than the back of the spudgun. You'd need a square based cylinder-type neodymium magnet glued on the very base of the barrel.
