Hi guys,
After some help I got on this forum I finally managed to finish my gun but there is only 1 thing left which I need your help with - the paintjob :)
I thought about painting it:
1. All black
2. Stock cherry wood, barrel etc black
3. Stock cherry wood, barrel etc silver (metallic)
4. Camo (least favourite)

Please note this entire gun was built without anything but a skillsaw, Epoxy, a file (for the pistol grip etc) and a dremel workstation for the slotting.

The hardest part of this project was the slotting, it was SO frustrating to get everything to fit good so it won't wobble.

Here are some pictures of my gun:

Pistol grip + trigger (blowgun):

Slotting + Epoxy:

Cut PVC sleeve I attach on the barrel / chamber to I can attach the scope without harming the barrel / chamber (It doesn't wobble at all, it's very steady).

The scope: 3~9X50 with green / red laser illuminated crosshair.

Looks great! Looks like you didnt consider servicing the piston, let's hope it works well. Looking forward to the paint job. :thumbleft:

Looks good! For the paint, I would suggest a flat black or blued-steel colored finish, and then stain the stock with something like cherry.

Only niggle I have is over the epoxy globs at the front and back. Standard fittings would have allowed you to service the piston at the back.

What do you mean by servicing the piston? Btw, the Epoxy at the front is going to be filed down and won't be noticed (will do that before the paint) and at the back - after it's painted it won't be noticed at all, it's smooth.

At the moment it work's perfectly fine and it's really strong actually.

Thank you both for the comments and special thanks to Gun Freak for the support! :)

nice scope :D
naah I like your gun.. it would be better if you did not use putty to seal that part... couldn't you use a compression fitting ? a bushing plus two nipples ( :D ) with a rubber washer sandwiched between them

Very well done first :thumbright:
what everybody trying to say is in case your piston jams/breaks, you can´t change a new one without breaking the epoxy, with a standard compression fitting you could have easy access to the piston, facilitating maintains.
And you really should make it multi shot as I did here, as your gun´s design is almost the same as my :D

over time in a qev the piston can have build ups in bits of dust grease ect which can lead to a massive drop in performance, perhaps even making the gun not work completely

good gun, ermmm cherry stock and the rest black :D

The piston is fully service-able, I can take out the barrel/chamber part apart to allow access to the piston easily, don't worry - I have thought about it :) It just screws right off very easily.

Sorry if I have any mistakes or w/e, I just came back from a club and I'm a little drunk lol..

Good night everyone~ (5 AM here :D)

Party rockers I tell you...

Its good to hear that you thought about the fact that your piston may need to be serviced. What sort of scope is that?

It's a 3~9X50 Airsoft rifle scope, I bought it online, if I am allowed to post a link to it reply to this post and I'll post a link (It's VERY cheap for what you get).
If not, send me a PM.. Do it quickly though cause I'm feeling kind of sick and I might go to sleep doon..

There are some more scopes with illuminations, you just gotta search - Type "Scope" in the search area..
