Carbon fibre all the way
What pressure are you running at? Reinforced soda bottles could be an option... http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/air-tan ... 23098.html

Aluminium 5754 alloy.
Where's my Chuck key?
Get some muscles, try shooting a 12lb rifle off the shoulder accurately, then you'll stop complaining.
I don't know why my mate needs a bull barrel Tikka in .223 when he doesn't shoot past 250m. And a 6-18x56mm scope is way too big.

ok i looked up aerogel ... alright lets try and be realistic ... where the hell am i going to get that haha ... im just thinking about changing the copper barrel for something that is a little bit stronger and not really heavy .... and also an air supply tank which is sort of light that i can attach to my rifle .

I find it extremely hard to believe that this weighs 5 kg.
The above weighs 5kg empty.
This is perfectly normal weight for a shoulder fired launcher, rather than make it lighter I think you should be focusing on making it more comfortable to hold.

Stock ... plastic handle plastic , grip plastic ...
btw my bottom airtank is made out of galvanised steel ... so it is heavy ... heavy fittings ... and where my pilot valve is there are a few fittings that are heavy ... so yeah i would say it is 5 kg

The great thing about making spudguns is that it encourages a scientific approach. Here's something you can try at home, take a plastic bucket and put around 4 and a half litres of water in it, then compare the weight of that to your launcher
