Hello everyone sorry i just made this account to ask a question but for the life of me i cannot figure out while my sprinkler valve will not hold air i modified it to use a compressor air gun and sealed up the old solenoi hole but it still will not hold air at all i appreciate your time and thanks, Garrett

Oh yea and by not hold air i mean as soon as i put the compressor to it it vibrates and sounds like a ships horn

As soon as the compressor starts filling it vibrates like crazy letting all the Air go so there couldnt be more than a couple pounds of pressure

Make sure the arrows are facing your barrel not your chamber

Do you have a very big chamber/very weak compressor? try holding your hand over the barrel as you fill to allow some pressure to build up.

Are you sure there aren't any leaks in your pilot area? Show us some pictures of your setup, it will help us help you.

well last night I took a needle and widened the equalization hole and double I mean triple checked my seals everywhere by putting mounds of jb weld everywhere and this morning after one time holding my hand over the barrel while pumping it starting working like a charm, thank you all for helping me so much I plan to continue using this form in the future and i will post pictures of my setup later for you to see. Again I appreciate all the help guys!

Sounds like you may have had some grit or something in the valve that was keeping it form sealing properly. Sometime flushing with water (since that's what they were designed for) will clean the valve out. Or sometimes it'll fix itself after being (attempted to) cycled multiple times.

Diaphragm vales really hate the shavings from cut PVC and it doesn't take much to make the diaphragm not seal. Water will usually clean the valve out more effectively than will just air.
