Firstly, sorry for the stupid question
I've been looking around for a little while for a pressure regulator for a co2 setup, output pressure being from 0-500 or 100-500 or something like that (doesn't have to be exactly 500, maybe 450 or something). Ive looked through Amazon a couple of times and eBay but can't find one. I looked in McMaster and grainger but they were upwards of a few hundred dollars. Any advice is greatly appreciated! I want to try my best to keep it below 20 dollars, I don't know If this is possible.

Is it for a paintball type tank or a bulk tank?

Your <$20 budget is IMHO, not reasonable.

This is what I usually recommend for paintball tanks...have one and it's good quality.

For bulk, this is about as low buck as you get for new. Might find something for less, but KNOW what you're buying.

Maybe the smart people on this site could provide me with some insight. I ordered a 0-400 psi gauge off amazon from winters but they sent me some 4 inch 0-15 psi gauge that I haven't been able to find anywhere. I only bought it for 5$ (price jumped to 30 the next day). But I already got a Kodiak 0-145 psi digital gauge that I was going to use for propane metering (it's got a 1% full scale accuracy rating and I don't know about the new one because I can't find it). Anyway I can't decide on whether to send it back or use it for propane metering and just use the kodiak for air readings and maybe some lower pilot pressure readings. And then I have to issue of figurimg out just how to meter oxygen. Any I put is very helpful! Thanks!

Simply put, you purchased a 400psi gauge, and were shipped a 15psi gauge. Contact the seller or Amazon and see what they will do to correct the problem.

As long as it was not your mistake, you should expect the seller to make it right at no further cost to you.

This is my first post in this forum but I have a fair amount of experience working on various paintball guns.

One of the things you may want to look for is a used paintball marker on Craigslist or the like. You can find a cheap Smart Parts Ion where the electronics are shot for around $50 most of the time. This will give you an ASA to screw your air tank into and a regulator that can be adjusted from 0~300 psi.

Most modern paintball guns have regulators built into them and they are typically very easy to maintain. If you find a paintball gun other than an Ion, a quick search of the internet should be able to provide some detail about what sort of regulator it includes.

Be aware that many of the super cheap paintball guns do not include a regulator and have simply been designed to work at the 800psi coming out of the HPA tank.

I purchased a regulator of brand FAIRCHILD and model 70B ( https://www.nriparts.com/pneumatics/pne ... -regulator ) and it's working pretty well. It gives a maximum pressure of 250 PSI.

Hey I've spotted this welding regulator for $30 on ebay... with a max pressure of 250 bar.
Could anyone tell me why this wouldn't be suitable for air gun purposes?

BEWARE of Ebay sellers who have over 100 negative feedback's per month!

The 250 bars is maximum *input* pressure, as a welding regulator it's not expected to put out more than 5 or 6 bars; I'd be surprised if it can put out the sort of pressure you want for an air gun.

Also, negatives, although on less than 1% of transactions...

Thanks for the warning! Hadn't noticed that yet, although like mrfoo said, less than 1% so it should be okay. Yeah that output is a bummer, but so far I hadn't found such a cheap regulator that could handle more than 15 bars. Maybe if I'm rich some day I'll buy one and see what it does...
