Hey guys,

It's been a very long time since I've posted here. I remember JackSmirkingRevenge posting a $20 BB Semi-Automatic BB Gun. In this link here - http://www.spudfiles.com/how-to-databas ... 23626.html

I was wondering if there are alternatives to the "Hand Slide" Pilot Valve. I've been doing some research and I remember a mate of mine who worked in pneumatics showed me something similar that worked as well.

For example, would this work?

https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/TAC2-31V-2- ... Swq5pXPtqf

OR

https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Mechanical- ... SwCGVX9I-X

Where, on the off position, it shuts off the air supply, but also remove the excess air to fire the QEV. The reason I ask this is because I wanted something that was more 'ergonomic' when I put this in a shell of a Nerf Blaster and would be easier to install a trigger. I don't know much about pneumatics and scoured the internet for the, but I just couldn't figure out if it had the some action as the 'hand slide valve'.

Thanks in advance!
It's Nerf or Nothing.

Don't start crying when I play this as my hobby, Paintball, Airsoft and Nerf are equally good hobbies, except you can play Nerf in public. Good day! Hmph!

The second one is pretty much what I use, nice to have all 3 ports usable on the 3/2 valve so you can use it NO or NC.Depends on which side of the QEV you fill from.

Pretty much any three way valve will do the trick, the function required is to shut off air from the main chamber and vent the pilot chamber to the atmosphere, and if it's a three way valve, when set up correctly that's what it will do.

If I'm not mistaken a lot of 3 way control valves are already internally pneumatically actuated. Mostly the ones with very easy to actuate switches or solenoids, if you buy one with 1/4" or larger ports you probably have a perfectly adequate opening speed for a small airsoft or Nerf gun build. I bought one a while back for $15 for a Nerf project I never finished.

It was kinda like this
Image I had to switch the solinoid to the other side to make it a "normally open" configuration but it had plenty of power for my needs

I have a weapon for BB plastic 6mm with a 5/2 operated as a 3/2, it uses a little pressure about 60 psi, it is semiautomatic. I leave here a picture.
