Sorry if this is a late post, but if you dont want to stick a hose in it, do you just put a blowgun in there? Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question.

It's alright to post in a dead topic like this if you have something useful to say. Since this topic probably will never die, asking questions is fine.

If you had looked at more then 5 pneumatic guns that use sprinkler valves, you would have your answer. Which is yes, you just tap the blow gun straight in.

My question is I have one that has a guide rod straight down the middle and its attached to the top. Do I just drill straight through it or something else?

I know i will probably get blasted for this, and the answer is really obvious but i couldn't find it so here goes. What is the purpose of a sprinkler valve? Why not use a ball valve? I noticed it is electrical, how do you use it? I hope you can be nice to a noob and help me out

You couldn't find it? WTF?

vreniervjinjfdv

The purpose of said valve is to increase open time. It allows for a much faster opening time than a ball valve. It can be modded to increase it even further.

*blast*

you could have checked the Wiki.

You can modify a sprinkler valve to be actuated manually instead of electrically, and in turn give much better performance. The major advantage over a ball valve is much better opening time which translates into better performance. It's also much more comfortable to use if you want to actually aim your launcher at something.

I wonder if anyone out there can assist me

I went to my Rainbird dealer, here in Buffalo (No one else carries these valves) and he could not help me without a part number (He showed me a wharehouse full of yalves and fittings).

Neither can the Watermaster web site, they also need a part number.

Would those of you who have used these recommended valves be so kind as to lookup the p/n for me?

Thanks in advance, Spudsters!

Go look up Irritol Valves. How can you not find a sprinkler valve, walk into your local home depot go to the irrigation section and find the sprinkler valves dude very very simple
