hey i got a few questions

1. When firing with the blowgun, do you hold it down or pull it like a gun trigger?

2. When pressing the blowgun, it lets air out of the sprinkler valve opening the diaphram, where the the air go that exhausts?

edit: also, how do you get the blow gun directly into the sprinkler coming out of it vertically like on these http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=118

1 I hold it down but if you have a short barrel it dosent really matter
2 Out the other side of the blowgun out in to the open

To get the sprikler vavle perpidicular just put a 1/4" close nipple instead of a barbed 90 then screw the other side of the nipple to the blowgun

hey..i feel dumb having to get this off a forum because for some reason im having the hardest time finding one

last night i got my sprinkler valve at lowes and went to go get a blowgun for it..the highest psi blowgun i could find was rated 30psi. after that i went to 3 other stores and the highest was 30psi on all of them. so i asked one of the people at the desk and they said that most companies dont make em anymore(i dunno if that is true) so then i went to look on ebay and they never say what they are rated at.. and i tried mcmaster but i didnt know exactly which section it was under and i ran into a bunch of kits but im not sure how to tell if they are rated high enough because i dont understand all of the specs they give on them.

i was wondering if someone could give me a site(preferably a direct link to the item) or a certain brand that makes high psi blowguns. sorry for the inconvienience(i dunno how to spell it  )

edit: i want the kind that can be mounted vertically with a 1/4" nipple

Hehe, don't worry. THose are safety factors. I use one rated to 30 PSI on a gun i take past 120 PSI> Dont let those numbers fool ya.

My understanding is that that 30 PSI rating is mostly for the tip. You see, they'r scared something could get lodged in it. This would cause it to build up pressure... and POP; someone's eye is taken out by a flying peice of brass.

Which really doesn't matter to you, as you should be removing the nozzle anyway.

Nope, not vague, because I have one just like it. That seems to be the most common type of blowgun out there.

I'm planning on buying the same type of sprinkler valve listed in the tutorial (also sold by sputech).
How do I find the flow coefficient for it, I can't find anything for it online.
What valve type would I use for it in the GGDT?

Ok one question guys. I uderstand it all but how do I attach the fragm so it works properly, with a bolt in the center but what do I screw the bolt into then?( I mean if I'm building a fragm on my own)

#1: diaphram. Abreiviate it as 'phram if you must, but not fragm.
#2: I assume you are talking about attaching the washers to the rubber, in the building of a diaphram. Simply put the rubber between 2 washers, put a bolt through the whole mess, and tighten the contraption with a nut. This is quite off topic here, but I'll leave it up until you decide to deleat/move your own post... don't wont to confuse you. When you do so, please send me a private mesage - otherwise I might forget to remove my post.

My modified sprinkler valve simply won't work. It won't hold any air, simply letting the air slowly pass into the barell. I'm questioning the design of these things because i dont see a place on the diaphram through which the pressure can enter the top section of the valve. I also think that a factor could be that I use a portable tire pump to fill my chamber. Please please help!!

so the sprinkler valve takes the place of a ballvalve so how does it work without water
