Ok so I bought some fittings and 1.5 inch sch 40 for my 1st pneu I will be building in september and was wondering what length do most of you use so it doesnt sag. Obiviously at 10 feet it sags because mine does. As for the cannon design its a 3 inch chamber with the 1.5 inch for a barrel.

Most of us use 5-7 foot barrels.
What type of valve will you be using?

Bah...
Deflection in solid stock goes as the cube of the length, IIRC. I don't know what it'll be in a hollow tube like this, though...
Point being that no matter how short you cut it, it'll still deflect some.
/nitpicking

Thank you all. Its just my budget is tight dont wanna have to rebuy anything. As for a valve I was thinking 1.5" QEV maybe. But thats my 1st 3d image in rhino without reading any tutorials.

Just remember to buy from a store that doesn't brace two ends of a fricking 10' section of pipe at the two far ends so that the pipe sags like a woman with liposuction.
Also, I have an 8' 1-1/2" SCH-40 barrel and it doesn't bend too much.

--edit--
Rather than start a new topic, heres a question. I wanted to know the pressure rating on a sch40 PVC union. I was looking at 4880K305 union on mcmaster but did not see a rating anywheres.

In other news, Google literally will provide you the answer, lock stock and barrel.
