yea i am makin my first cannon obviously. it seems everyone usses 225-250 PSI and i am guessing i should do the same.
here are my questions for my over and under...
-Does the pvc pipe say on it wht psi it can hold?
-i want a breech loader. If i use some tight rubber and foam material around the seal will it affect the cannons power?
-i see alot of sprinkler valves moded.(i should probably find this one on my own but...) i see the valve and i can find how to mod it ut whts the silver thing you see at the top all the time? does it come with it?
-can i get all of these parts at eighther Lows, or some other big name store lol?
-how much will this cost me? (just an estiment.)
If ur nice to me and help thx sooo much!

Well, Most people for starters tend to use anything between 40-150PSI. 250 is only used in extemely well made cannons like Brian's cannons and suck. Hybrids also use high preasures, but DON'T go for that just yet, or even better at all.
I don't know what preasures PVC pipe can hold because I've never used PVC, so it would be best to ask a US spudder to verify what pipe to buy.
The foam or rubber won't effect the preformance, unless it lets air past the seal.
The "silver thing" ontop of alot of modded sprinkler valves are "blowguns". they act as a trigger to actuate the valve. The sprinklers DON'T come with blow guns, but I'm sure you can get one for about $5 in any hardware store.
A sprinkler valve can be between $13-$100 depending on what type you buy and what size ports it has. The most commonly used sprinkler used is a 1" Orbit Watermaster. I believe you can get one for $13 or so from eBay and hardware stores. The blow gun, as mentioned before is around $5 and for the pipes im not sure as i am a UK spudder, who dosn't have access to rated pipes, so I tend to use copper. (Rated to 400+ PSI)
Hope that helps

It states the pressure rating in PSI on the pipe exterior. Or you can look <a href="

what do you mean jar top? i have all my stuff now to make it i just need pipe and a valve now.
p.s. i forgot to say my psi meter says its for water i think...it says not for oxygen use, so can i still use it?

It says "not for oxygen use" because high-pressure oxygen has a tendancy to make grease explode - and they didn't clean out all the grease.
