Like the title says, dou know what grease to use for rubber ? I know vaseline is out of the question. Can regular grease be used, or does it eat the rubber ?

I would go to your local hobby shop, if they carry R/C car parts, ask them for some 50 weight shock oil. use it, its the best.

"Rubber" is not specific enough; we need to know what type of rubber it is.

^^^A good one, pneumatic nail gun oil works well. I personally use Hilti Gun lubricant (Hilti makes hammerdrills, demolition hammers, etc.) and it seems to hold up a little better.
