Well as some people would think from my at least to say exessive posting of disighns,questions,ect. lately i'm finaly starting my first penu! lol. I'm wondering if anyone has ever "thickend" a barrel. Mabey, by just cutting the same size pvc pipe down the middle and bending it into the barrel..idk..?
My Cannon sofar...
i have all the nooks and peives all i really need is to put them togetther. But as i said before i need to get my barrel around 2.7in my barrel right now is 3in. my compression chamber will be 4in i think. i forget wht conecter peices i have in the garage.
The other thing i need to know is with a cannon on this size do you think i will need a silencer? or is it too big for one? If it isn't wht do u sugest i make it from?(besides the pvc shell of it)

Anyway, If I was you, I would use wadding for my 2.7" ammo. Dotn start cutting up barrels and stuf, you wont have a soft inner side anumore, and pressure will get lost trough the cut.
The silencer, just make a realy big one, if you want one. You can stuff it with cloth or wire wool (metal wool)

well untill i can get my mom to see the spud cannon is safe -cough- at 50 psi -cough- i'm only shooting tennis balls and such thing of that size.

The barrel cutting and fitting it insdie of it is called sleaving,its used to make a golfball barrel out of 2inch(50mm)sch40 pipe and if done correctly it works well.
