Union Chamber Piece

Does a union hold the same pressure as PVC pipe, I just need to know if it's safe to use as part of the chamber. I'm mostly concerned that the seal would'nt hold the air in.

Of course it will if it has the same markings as the pipe. I used a union on my supersonic gun and it holds fine!

i heard you cant get them pressure rated or something but people use them anyway on hybrids.

Where exactly was your Union?

LOL !! if you cant find a 1 inch union dont build bd guns! Its just after the short section of 1 inch pipe, coming off the reducing adapter.

I've never seen your cannon. And what do you mean by bd guns? I just figure I should use a union instead of a threaded cap, so I can remove the piston more easily.

Bd = Burst disc. Would this work for a piston cannon?

Yea, but burst disks are better than pistons, why not just use one of them?

theyre a pain and a hassle i think :D
dont most people use them for hybrids coz of BD's so i doubt you could use it has a part of a chamber to hold pressure.

Finally a real answer. I plan on making a gun with a 1.5" coaxial chamber, I had the idea of using 2 unions as part of it so I could remove a segment of the chamber and replace it with a higher diameter chamber for more chamber volume without changing length.
