any ideas for a 1 1/2 inch piston?

anyone have any ideas for a 1 1/2 piston? im looking to make a coaxil with a 1 1/2 inch chamber and a half inch barrell. just wondering if anyone had any quick piston ideas. i could also try a diaphram too but i dont know what i would use.

I made a piston for 1.5" Pipe out of a D or C cell battery wrapped in duct tape with a rubber ball glued on the end. Milk caps glued or screwed together will also work.

actually i kind of changed my mind on this one. i think im going with a diaphragm. i have heard that the thin tupperware material works well. any ideas on a diaphragm?

That's the only thing I've heard of working besides neoprene washers. Some mousepad bases might work. I prefer pistons because you can always make them bigger, with diapraghms they only get cut smaller on accident.

true true. im just trying to make this small gun as compact as possible and i believe diaphragms take up the least space. ill have to get the parts wednesday and start building.

I've had a hell of alot of success with using PVC sheet shower and bath liners as diaphragms. I think it's $5.50US/ft at Home Depot. It's very thin, very flexible, and very slick.
I've also used it to wrap a piston to make it slide through my coaxial.
