My new lowes sells 6" pipe, but i noticed it had a VERY low pressure rating, about 90 PSI. i was wondering how people make air chambers with this stuff wiout blowing up. i order to have a high pressure rating, i have to use shedule 80, which is, VERY expensive.

90psi is fine for a combustion
If you're wanting to have a big hybrid or high pressure pneumatic chamber then you're going to have to splash out for a higher rated pipe.
No sch40 then?

yeah, the 6 inch pipe that Lowes sells is rated to 90 PSI...... ill stick with 4 inch i guess unless i find a cheap way to get 6 inch pipe that can take the pressure. Oh well...... Does anyone know where joel gets his 6 inch pipe from?

Hmmm... the stick of 6" I've got is rated to 180 PSI. Is your's SCH-40 or a thinner-walled variant like SDR-21/26/etc.?

Yeah mine is Schd 40, and the schd 80 stuff is like 300 bucks for 8 feet and mcmaster..... not to mention the pressure rated fittings
