Wow, that gun sure is cool. I really like the craftsmanship. But I think you should change the grip. Oh, I was just wondering how/if you are going to mass produce these.

Did you mean something like this insomniac? :P
p.s dont take this post seriously Solar. 8)

Very nice, guys in the milslim paintball world have already been talking about this. I like it a lot.

If you can get warpic to write an artical or review on this then you are all set.

Just some questions.

1) Is it true the valve is based off that of a sceptar grenade launcher?

2) will you be producing a "under barrel" mounter version, similar to a sceptar?

3) Can you please go into more detail of the valve? How much mahining did it require?

4) Will you be manufacturing any type of grenade or will people have to make their own?

Thanks, I think you have done an excellent job there. There is a gap in the market for this kind of thing you know. Real action paintball has grenades and launchers but the price is WAY too high. Scepter is out of business and their grenade launchers are soght after. I highly recommend you producing a small launcher that can be mounted on the paintball marker. It will sell like hotcakes :D

Good luck!

Does it need a battery? (valve)
What is the overall weight?
How quickly can it be reloaded?
Is it quiet or does it keep heads down?
How durable is it for rapid continuous fire?
What are the overall dimensions? (ease of caring on back)
Could you connect a remote to it?
Could it fire a 6oz paintball grenade? (home made)

Thanks.

Nice good job!! under 300psi = LP so great job

you might know this but i might as well add it
because it has a low OpPress you might wanna experiment with barrel length
the <200psi guns need a longer barrel to increase efficiency you might be able to bring down the opperating pressure a bit if you use a longer barrel...

Ok, lots of questions.

1) it is not based on the scepter launcher. It can however fire the scepter 40mm grenades or similar rounds

2) I have no plans to make an under barrel system at this time. I am looking into mounting a semi auto sniper style (longbow or similar) to the current launcher.

3) It keeps heads down.

4) It will also fire foam rockets

5) the valve is a positive force piston valve. Yes there is a lot of machining throughout the gun, but it is a very sound design and everything is already programmed into CNC for production. I am sure someone could make knock offs in their home of many of the parts, but it would be easier to just purchase one at that point. I will probably offer parts separately such as the volume chambers and barrels.

6) the volume chamber size and barrels can be swapped out for different ballistic properties.

7) it can be reloaded in a few seconds. I will time it. There is a unique reload system that I will go into detail soon.

7) no batteries needed. It doesn't ever need to be wound either. It is pneumatically driven. I basically built an air powered engine that fires paintballs out of it's exhaust.

8) I prefer running remote. I am sure people will rig it stand alone as well.

9) it is around 10 pounds loaded (AK-47 or HK weight)

10) dimensions change with barrel lengths. It is very portable, especially in scatter gun configuration with the shorty barrel.

11) very durable for continuous fire. It actually performs better and stays cool with a high flow rate valve(s) feeding it.

12) I am doing the first run of 50 starting this week and hopefully having them for sale before June. Legal stuff and all still...

Um, this isn't really a question, more of a favour, could you please make a video or a new version of the old version and upload it to photobucket or something, then post it here? I am having problems with the quicktime flash thing on yout site.

I have a couple videos on my myspace page at http://www.myspace.com/Serpentine9

There is a .50 caliber test posted now too. I just received some new foam rounds to try that are 40mm and have a paintball warhead. I'll upload something as soon as I get some more video.

I'm still what to know how it works based on the loading in the video I assume that the mechanism is powered pneumatically during the repressurization of the chamber tell me if I’m right
I posted a design like that for a semi bolt system on the forum it didn’t get much attention
