Modifying a sprinkler valve

i understand how this idea works a little, but i am wondering if its possible to fill the chamber through the pilot blowgun?

also does this modifying work on the valves that ahve the imput and output 180degress. im having trouble finding a strait valve. also do you remove the soleniod?

you can remove the solinoid and epoxy it, it looks better and has a better chance of being air tight than just screwing in the solinoid. i have never tryed fillling through the top, but just looking at how mine works i know that you can and it work work just fine.

and yes it only works on inline valves, the U type valves work differently.

You cant fill the chamber through the pilot whole on the blow gun well at least mine any way, and yes epoxy is the best way to go

mine is a water master and im sure you can fill through the top, why would you want to anyway?

If you fill from the top you can be almost sure it will seal.

thanks, the reason i would want to fill through the pilot is i dont have to tap any hole into the pvc and possibly weaken it

The U valves do not work differently.
If you examine them they are quiet similar, with the only difference the inlet(chamber) port.

i was wondering if i blow on one end of my sprinkler valve should air come out the other end. I'm not to sure how they work and i wasn't sure if it needs pressure to seal.

i have a similar problem. i have a barrel sealing piston valve, that is going to be actuated by a modded sprinkler valve. the problem is i have no where to put a schrader vale to fill the chamber. Is it possible to fill the chamber through the blow gun(or ball valve)?, if not how would i go about filling my chmaber?

It is possible but you have to actuate it somehow. If your pilot is a blowgun, you need to modify it so when you press the trigger, the air on the firing side goes to the atmosphere. In other words, you need to make it a 3-way valve. If its not a 3 way valve, when you press the trigger, it will just try to refill the firing chamber instead of shooting it. If you don't feel modifying one, buy a slide valve.

I figured out a way to make a ball valve 3 way but I haven't tried it yet. All you have to do is drill a hole in the side of the ball valve and then another hole on the firing side of the actual ball. When its open, it will refill the chamber. When its closed it will vent to the atmosphere.

Any gun that has to vent air to shoot and is refilled through the pilot valve automatically makes it semi auto. That's if you have some kind of loader.

im not trying to make it semi-auto, i just want to use a modded sprinkler valve as the acuator for the piston. It doenst have to be the chamber filling valve too, i just need to know how to fill the chamber and seal the piston when there is no room to put a schrader behind the piston. i need to some how fill the chmaber using to sprinkler valve. is there anyway to do this? how do other people with barrel sealers use a sprinkler valve to fill AND actuate the cannon?

any deals will help thnx
