After many years of hearing of potato guns, i decided i would make one of my own, as of now ive made two, but for the sake of other learning im posting my first attempt stand alone. It's an all ABS combustion cannon with a grill lighter as the source of ignition, measuring 2"x24" with a 3"x8" chamber so roughly a 2:3 CB ratio. quite simple in design it clears 150m w/ a 148-160g potato slug( yes i tracked them down and weighed them, then converted to metric for all those from the UK on this site YW)

He said that this was his second in the post. :?

And yeah the handle does look a bit long, and it would be more comfortable on a something around a 60' angle rather than a 90' angle.

Edit: By the way it is a nice cannon. :)

again trial and error is the name for a reason... its still really fun shooting, but the newer one is much more fun to shoot, this one was just a stepping stone, and soon the other better one will be another guns stepping stone, there is always room for improvement. mounted/measured propane is next to come. and yes the design is ugly, i should emphasize ERROR in the name...

To completely contradict what I said at first, its not the looks of it, its how much fun it is to shoot 8) .

yea the fun factor always makes the cannon. measured propane would be cool. maybe you could hide it away in the handle?

lol
... a new concept in cannons: hide the fuel system in a massive handle! That is poetic!
