Clear PVC question
dude just drill/tap through two layers of pipe on the fitting overlap.
clear or not its safer than drilling into a POS cleanout cap any day.
Dont be so worried about blowing it up because its clear and a tad different than type I or II PVC. Its still pressure rated and you will never generate enough pressure to blow it unless you force raw o2 in there or detonate compressed fuel/air mixes

why dont you just get a saddle tee, glue it into place and then use hose clamps if needed.

that will change the way i want to hold it during operation. The handle i'm putting on here is like one of those "pull" handles for doors, but with my grill igniter on top. Basically, think of it like having a giant mug of beer. The chamber is the glass and the handle is...well...the handle.

i like the idea. Before i go with the saddle though, do you think it would work if i used a small strip of metal, drilled/epoxied the handle to THAT, then just hose clamped the metal down?
I was looking at saddles in my area and they are all very large and cover up 1/2 of the clear chamber and since only about 8 inches of the clear pvc is exposed, it would cover the entire top. I don't want a lot of my chamber to be covered, i want this baby to GLOW!

I cut two 1.5" T's in half the long way (to make a saddle T) for the handles on my gun. Works amazingly well. They're currently secured down with the industrial size zip ties, but hose clamps would work as well or better.nicholai wrote:ive cut tees in half and hose clamped. 1" and 3/4" but i like 1" the best
