This is my combustion made from cardboard, ductape, hairspray and matches. I am aware of the dangers with fire and cardboard.
To start this off I'm am undecided at about weather this is a Mini or a cannon. I made the topic here but if a modd wants to move it that is fine. On to the fun.

This is my first combustion, and my first Ghetto. I knew that pingpong balls fit well in paper towel tubes. So this morning I got a paper towel tube, and a slightly longer than a foot section of this very durable cardboard like material. I wadded some duct over the end of the PT tube so roll of painters tape I didn't need would fit over its snugly. then a few raps of ductape later I could jab it into the larger tube. I put some ductape around it all. Then I sealed of the other end of the chamber with (you guessed it) ductape. I cut a very small whole in it for ignition (I'll explain later.)

this is the ignition hole. After filling from the barrel I sprayed a bunch on the ductape. then lit that with a match and BOOM

It shot a pingpong ball from the post on the right almost to the end on the driveway, about 40 feet. (gun unagled) This thing is LOAD,[/img]

Wow, that thing is really ghetto! you could gain a lot more power if you didn't have the match hole in the back, some of the gases escape through that.

It reminds me of my youth when we used beer cans, duct tape and lighter fluid.

It's freaking cardboard, you tweek. get over it. cardboard is not gonna shrapnel on you and blow your ass away. you gotta be kidding me.

I wouldn't go near it with body armor on either, it's not that dangerous.

you guys do know 2 things right, I built it in 15 minutes, and its about 2 feet long. to show you how nonflammable cardboard is, the barrel was soggy with the hairspray, and there was no problem.(but I did stand as far back as possible.) also this thing has no recoil at all. It didn't even move when I fired it.
EDIT: update I fired a large marble with a perfect sabot. It was to dim out to see how far, but I want to do some range tests tomorrow.

Ghetto the the extreme!Did you notice the colour between the duct tape and the car behind are near the same colour,when I first saw the topi picture I was like what the hell is that.

Don't bother asking for pictures or a video. The cannon saw only one shot - while it did fire an airsoft BB through both sides of a soda can, it also blew a large hole in the cardboard box it was sitting on.
