First of all, hello to everyone from Austria (Europe, no Kangaroos :P )
Well I´m...no, if you you want to know something about me, just ask.
Also, please excuse my bad english, i try my best, really.

Ok and here it is, when i was young i often build Spud Guns. But i always destroyed them, used to powerfull gas.
the PVC sucks und totay i´m a metallworker, so i build this metall version.
At the time, its not ready, there are some small things to do, but at all it works great at the time. But please take a look:

Image

As you can see, all is made from metall. I just used high quallity steel and its very, very solid.
For firing i use Oxigin (O2 from a bottle) and a Welding Gas (A Propane, Buttan and Propylen Mix).
Questions? Just ask :)

Looks cool! Sweet muzzlebreak.
Could you take a few pictures from other angles?

O2 + fuel packs a big punch, be careful with that!
Till the day I'm dieing, I'll keep them spuddies flying, 'cause I can!

measured with steps, just boring to walk so far and count, and this in mud. (we fired at a flat field, horrible mud and dirt) :?
with a bit luck, next week we can fire at old cars at a yunkjard near my location. of course i will take pics 8)

Very nice cannon! Looks great. Is the fueling metered in any way and is it a pressurized mix by any chance? Also, congrats on the famous 1/4 spud distance!

hey moonbogg! thanks a lot, i also like your cobra spuds.

at the moment the fueling isn´t metered. i just fill it 4 seconds with O2 and 2 seconds with gas. at that, the firing results are best.
at the time, i plan to convert the cannon. i want a bigger chamber. i think two or three times bigger.
one day, i want to fire a potato a half mile, thats my personal goal.

Half a mile with a tater!, now that would be impressive  have you ever tried it with more destructive ammo?

Grüss Gott,

Very nice build, very clean. I would advise a metering system, but otherwise, great, geile Sache. Welcome to the forum, you will be an intresting member.

Out of curiosity, how are regulations on cumbustion cannons in Austria?

hey john!
i never mind the regulations and law about such cannons until know.
at the time, i can´t tell anything exactly about it, but i will in future. ( i´ve got a friend which is a police officer, he will tell me more if we meet again)
i just know that you should have a weapons owner card, thank god i´ve got one.

i think i will upgrade the cannon soon, today i was at the junkyard and got some really good parts. it will be bigger, more powerfull and of course a good metering system for the gas. i just need some small parts for the upgrade. you will be impressed :D
i think, in 1 - 2 months it will be ready, until to that i collect parts and firing with it how it is :)
