Is this cannon the best in its class?

Here is a link to a short video I have made about my cannon. It doesnt go deep into details but I'm guessing experienced spudgunners will know whats goin on.

Now it's not without it's kinks, but I'm proud of this cannon and looking for others built like it.

The class would be
1. Combustion
2. PVC
3. No special made parts (mine was bought from Farm'n'fleet/plumbing supply and modified)

Materials were a lil over $200, any comments?

Best in class? Probably not, it is a pretty large class. Though the gun looks very good.

Not too many possible mods,. Multiple spark gaps are a possibility. A shooting chrono would be nice.

I'm not a big fan of coax's since they have a lot of extra surface area but it does keep the overall length of the gun down. What's the approximate CB?

One challenge with a coax is the positioning of the fan. Put it back by the breach and it is also near the chamber to barrel junction which means it is subjected to some pretty serious stresses during, and immediately after firing.

Nice gun but it's in the wrong section it need to be in the combustion cannon showcase, most people post here wen there in the middle of building for like a preview. You should think about changing your barrel length for better performance trust me it will help, you can use Burnt Latkes RatCal.

Nice cannon for sure. But as said before, combustions is a HUGE class, so there are a lot of cannons that are just damn hard to beat. Lengthen that barrel, as said before for more power.

Yeah a big part of my design was keeping the length of the gun down to keep it convenient because it's purely for recreation. I'm not super concerned with getting every last bit of power out of it.
But it does have a 4' barrel with the gun as a whole being about 4'-6". The chamber is 2' long and made from 6".
You very right about the fan taking a lot of stress being by the breach. Right after every shot you can hear the fan spinning insanely fast from the gasses speeding it up. But it's a sturdy little fan secured with plenty of epoxy and it does a pretty good job of exhausting the spent air.

This is probably the end of the road for me with spudding aswell. I've loved the journey but this may be the final evolution of the hobby for me.

Gone from hairspray and lantern lighters to giant cannons to breached bazooka style.

Documentation of the largest combustion?? OK, PVC.. Need to check one of the other members cannons. You found it when you find a picture of him inside the barrel. Great vid. that is a beast. His is not PVC.
