Being in the ignition chamber, won't it suffer extesive damage?
Do you mount it to the cap? where else? affix retro-fitted pvc tabs to the wall lining?
Separate question:
I am drawing plans for a propane combustion cannon and would like to spend as little as possible on fixtures and the "SGTC Propane Metering Device" and suggestions of where (spefically) to get these at the best prices?
Side note: I just picked up a stun gun and am planning on three ignition sources. I'm excited to test it all out!

For the fan.....
If you are using a 4" diameter pipe as chamber,80mm computer fans can slide in wiht minor sanding down on the corners. They just stick in place and the heat is only for a fraction a second.

the fans usally don't have trouble, the blast is small and breif, you could easy survive such a blast and go with little harm, and its a fan it can cools down when it's running
got to http://www.burntlatke.com/lp.html for info on this, and you can buy the parts at you local hardware store their no point in going though the trouble of ordering parts elsewere
