I think this cannon will change everything in our hobby, never would I have thought a hybrid would be capable of such mixes so soon and easily.

It was only the other month we were excited about DYI's 20x cannon.

Does anyone have some figures to compare this cannon to a real gun? IIRC Ak47's only shoot about 760ms and this is shooting 933ms at only a 100x mix.

Makes you wonder why the military doesn't pick up on this kind of deal, if only for launching practice shells. You would think that it would be cheaper than powder.

BTW, did anyone notice the puffs of smoke coming out of the barrel after the shot?

Because, powder is how they roll?
Powders are better anyways.

 That is amazing. Congratulations, I peed my pants a little bit when I saw that steel damage shot. Very cool, your machining is incredible.

P.S. Don't look down the barrel (that thing could take your eye out).

You were right, it was worth waiting for :D What is the diameter of the barrel, 20mm?
And now you have no excuse to postpone the making of that slugmold anymore :D

If you log in and see a cannon by Larda, you know it's going to be jaw dropping... but still I wasn't quite expecting this.

This thing must easily be capable of 10,000 ft-lbs at a 200x mix (You know, only yesterday, I would have assumed there were too many zeroes in that mix number).
There are records here that aren't going to be broken for a while - both the mix number and the velocity (You've actually beaten Killjoy's old 2700 fps record by over 100 m/s.)

Hmm. It would be interesting to see if this thing could beat the 1000 m/s mark with a 200x mix. Possibly, although that would be getting very close to the speed of sound in the ignited mixture, although it might be able to manage it just through sheer pressure and brute force.

@Those people who've asked, in terms of energy & velocity, this thing is nearly up there with a round from a .50 BMG rifle - which is pretty amazing.
Does that thing kinda look like a big cat to you?

the .50 i shot had 800m/s with a 60g bullet - pretty damn scary for your shoulder!

and i am glad you finally posted this monster Larda!
*asks about the faster plastic slug shot*

when i have one more look at this gun i really consider to become gay :D

D@mb... that is exactly what I would have guessed, but I did not want to say it for fear of over-guessing. This is AWESOME!
