I currently have a 3/4" copper barrel for my hybrid rifle, but would like one with diameter of 1.25" or 1.5". While I could buy some copper, I really wouldn't prefer to due to pricing....

So I know spudblaster uses ABS, but I haven't been able to find any....

I'd like to think double sleeved PVC in 1.25" or 1.5" would be okay, but would it? I could really get a copper pipe, but it'd be roughly $50 dollars. If it comes down to it for safety I will, but if double sleeved PVC would work in those two diameters, I'd prefer to use that.

Just worried about it shattering--opinions?

How about sleeveing any 1.5 inch pipe in sch80 PVC?

Then you could sleeve a gb barrel or jet regular 1.5 inch...

Steel tubing isn't too expensive but it is heavy... Aircraft Spruce has good prices and sells by the foot.

Why not?

I've got a 6' long, 1.7" barrel (sch 10, 1.5" pipe). It's not that bad. Wouldn't want to on a hike with it, but for recreational plinking, it's fine.
