Got partial public release today. Still sorting out some details on the final edit for the video, but until I get the last nitpics worked out, here's a post to serve as a place holder.

I wasted a good 20 minutes looking over the China Lake facility to find it, no luck hehe

D_Hall, does public release also give us details of what appears to be some kind of sabot catcher/retardant?

Look in the SE corner of the Northern half of the base.

The video (coming very, very soon) will show it.

Real photo. A screen capture of one frame of video, actually... Yes, the same video that will be posted shortly.

edit: And I apologize for it being so large. I thought the forum software would resize it as a thumbnail. Ooops!

edit2: And I'll put in another pic to hold ya'll over....

That is probably some of the best high speed footage I've ever watched, truely incredible stuff. What's the general impression of everyone at your work place, are people asking for tickets to the show? :D

Wasn't there another video from before (that I neglected to archive myself?)

Anyway, that is amazing. I love the impact flash, even at subsonic velocities.

What causes the delay in the fiery muzzle blast.
