Coaxial piston hybrid rifle idea.

Harness the power of precision mixtures of pressurized flammable vapor. Safety first! These are advanced potato guns - not for the beginner.

This idea sparked (pun intended) into my head the other night, and I wanted to see what others thought about it, what could be done to help it, and to make sure its not a ticking time bomb I'm thinking of, instead of a high powered rifle.

Chamber; 6" of 3/4" Stainless steel pipe nipple, with end cap and 3/4" to 1/2" threaded reducer.
Piston; an airtight piston made by a fellow Spud files member.
Barrel; 1/2" threaded muzzle loader barrel or something similar.
Spark; I've had good luck with grill lighter spark igniters.
Fueling; propane and a stirrup pump, using the ball valves and a pressure gauge for measuring.
Mix; anywhere from 4x to 15x.

Id want to use it in a handheld, rifle style, with optics. I think it would be sweet to hit a target from a couple hundred yards away with a rifle, also looking for sick power.

I hope people can check it out. Its pretty simple.

A pop-off valve in the pilot area would allow the piston to open faster, otherwise performance is going to be limited.
