I bring you some cannon performance data

Harness the power of precision mixtures of pressurized flammable vapor. Safety first! These are advanced potato guns - not for the beginner.

I wanted to get more data but I ran into issues with the chrony giving error codes and getting knocked over from high winds. I also ran out of limes that fit the barrels too early because I was embarrassed to go into the market with my calipers. Next time I will bring the damn calipers and they can look at me any way they want. I still got some decent data. I think 2X limes from the Venom would have given a little more fps, but sadly I ran out of limes that fit. HGDT comparisons were made for projectiles with a reasonably well-known mass. That little SC3650 cannon is a monster for its size!

Cannon name: Cobra Venom
Chamber volume: 300 cu in.
Barrel: 1.85" ID x 72" long
Valve for 2X shots: 40psi burst disc

1X - Lime (no burst disc): 429fps, 570fps, 511fps
2X - potato: 728fps, 688fps

Cannon name: SC3650
Chamber volume: 86 cu in
Barrel: 2.625" ID x 36" long
Piston valve opening pressure: 125psi
3.5X - 12oz can of soda: 353fps, 379fps, 360fps -------------------HGDT prediction: 359fps

Barrel: 1.68" ID x 48" long
Piston valve opening pressure: 150psi
3X - Lime: 849fps
3X - Golf ball: 878fps, 885fps, 905fps-------------------------------------HGDT prediction: 810fps
4X - Golf ball: 1002fps-------------------------------------------------------------HGDT prediction: 849fps

Piston valve opening pressure: 200psi
4X - Golf ball: 1067fps-------------------------------------------------------------HGDT prediction: 920fps

The best example of a first world problem I have ever heard of :D

That's some pretty sweet data!

Yeah, that wouldn't look good.

Meh. Put a cut in the 1/2" long piece of pipe and wear it into the store as an ear ring.
