Hey guys it's been a while since I've checked in but I got the urge...

And came up with this...Image[/img]

It's a 3-way triggered 3/8" QEV rifle with a .40 blowgun barrel. I'm still debating whether to get one of those 6-shot repeater things for blow darts or to make an air operated ball bearing loader for a true semi-auto. I've got a machine shop at my disposal so probably the latter (or both lol).

(Sorry about the pic, it's upside down and I can't edit it on my phone, maybe save it and rotate in paint for a better view)

Here is a link to a video, it's high def so those with slow connections don't even try, sorry (again, I'm doing all this on my phone so I couldn't resize it...)

The gun is both filled and triggered by the three way, it's a very efficient setup. No air is lost apart from the QEV exhaust volume and of course the chamber volume. Inlet air goes in through the Normally Open port where it then goes into the QEV exhaust port, both filling the chamber and seating the small rubber piston. When the trigger is pressed, it closes the inlet port and dumps the exhaust, firing the gun.

The Co2 remote hose on there is nice, but I think it's a bit restrictive since the holes in the ends are like 3/32". It takes a good one to one and a half seconds to recharge, so maybe a direct fitting to the airline is in order.

So, for a list of parts...

The chamber is one of those disposable Co2 tanks you can get at Walmart. The stock is off one of my little brothers Nerf guns, not sure which model (speaking of which that thing is getting a paint job pronto lol). The QEV I'm not too sure on, I think McMasters has them. It has a 3/8" port for the barrel and 1/4" ports for the chamber and exhaust. The barrel is some Walmart special "zombiekiller" package I picked up for $20. For the three way valve all I know is Humphrey makes it, I'll take a look tomorrow and see if there are any numbers on it. I got it from a defunct automated drilling machine at a previous job.

The barrel is epoxied into a 3/4" male X 3/8" female reducer, with a 3/8" nipple between the QEV and that. I ground the threads off the 3/4" male side and buffed it up for a cleaner look.

Well that's about it, any questions or comments?

Look who's still around :) way to get with the times! A blow dart revolver would certainly be interesting, particularly if you got it to index automatically...
